About this programme
The National Certificate: Wholesale and Retail Operations: Help Desk, addresses skills and competencies for enabling entry-level employment and positions.
The qualifying student will be able to access opportunities for further development and training in the specialised areas of Wholesale and Retail such as:
- Stock control
- Customer service
- Visual display merchandising
- Help desk operations
Minimum Admission Requirements
- Grade 9 or GETC*: Adult Basic Education and Training NQF Level 1: Wholesale and Retail.
- It is assumed that students accessing this qualification are competent in Communication at NQF Level 1 and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 1.
You will be asked to attend an assessment and interview.

After successful completion of this qualification students will be equipped for a role in:
- Customer service in a wholesale or retail environment
- Help desk assistance in a wholesale or retail environment
- Data Maintenance on a computerised system
This is a 1-year (12 months) full-time course.
