Mitchells Plain Campus

Welcome to the Mitchells Plain Campus. A stone’s throw away from a bus and taxi route, the campus is easily accessible.

The campus offers students an enhanced learning experience. As with each of the campuses, the management of False Bay TVET College has ensured a dedicated Student Support Officer to assist students during their transition from basic to higher education.

The campus has free WiFi and also provides an Open Learning Centre (OLC) with internet access. Students can harness the collective power of technology and ideas to inspire learning.

Actively involved in community initiatives, the college programme offering is responsive to the needs of the community and industry. Mitchells Plain Campus has Full-Time and Part-Time study options available.

Meet the Campus Manager

Souchan Gasant-Jackson
Campus Manager – Mitchells Plain Campus

An advocate of tough love, Ms Souchan Gasant-Jackson has been in the employment of False Bay TVET College since 2001. A multi-dimensional personality, Ms Jackson enjoys keeping fit, travelling and playing piano – when not at campus you will find her at the gymnasium. She believes that health and fitness is not only about physical appearance, but it is also about being mentally and emotionally fit that will largely influence your day to day life. She encourages young people to travel and know the world – “travelling will encourage young people to experience life in different ways and in doing so add value to their own.”

Passionate about her student’s success, Ms Jackson strives for academic excellence and is always looking for means to enhance her students’ college experience. She is often the students go-to person in challenging times. Ms Jackson is an advocate for the Henry Ward Beecher quote: “Troubles are often the tools by which God fashions us for better things.”
