ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
The primary purpose of this Qualification is to provide qualifying students with the skills and knowledge required to undertake advanced tasks and procedures using office technology.
In addition, this will significantly enhance the student’s prospects of gaining employment by providing a solid grounding in basic computer skills required in today’s business environment.

Course content
Basic PC concepts
This module sets out essential concepts and skills relating to the use of devices, file creation and management, networks, and data security.
Word Processing
This module allows candidates to demonstrate the ability to use a word processing application to accomplish everyday tasks associated with creating, formatting, and finishing small-sized word processing documents, such as letters and other everyday documents.
Communication
This module enables candidates to interact successfully with audience in oral communication, use strategies that capture and retain the interest of an audience and identify and respond to manipulative use of language.
Mathematical Literacy
This module gives candidates an insightful use of mathematics in the management of the needs of everyday living to become a self-managing person.
Using a Web browser
A web browser is a type of software that allows you to find and view websites on the Internet.
Presentation
This module allows candidates to understand the concept of presentations and to demonstrate competence in using presentation software.
Spreadsheet
This module allows candidates to understand the concept of spreadsheets and to demonstrate an ability to use a spreadsheet to produce accurate work outputs.
This module exposes students to messages distributed by electronic means from one computer user to one or more recipients via a network.
Database
This module allows candidates to understand the concept of a Database and to demonstrate an ability to use a Database to produce accurate work outputs.
