The Norwegian word “MOT” means “COURAGE”.
MOT is a youth training and development programme that aims to improve the social environment and basic quality of life of young people, by teaching them vital life and social skills in diverse environments. This is achieved by focusing on developing skills in communication, decision-making, leadership, problem-solving and crisis management, whilst also encouraging the development of positive self-esteem and healthy relationships.
Students are given an introduction to the MOT programme in the orientation week of each semester. The programme, which is rolled out at each campus, is driven by the collaborative efforts of the Academic and Student Support staff. Imparting relevant Life Skills, sessions are hosted throughout the year.
- MOT empowers the youth to make conscious choices that result in them better mastering life.
