For Litsepa Hlapisi, studying Business Management at False Bay TVET College’s Khayelitsha Campus was the beginning of a rewarding career in the retail industry. Inspired by his passion for business, leadership, and retail operations, he chose the programme to gain practical knowledge and skills that would prepare him for the world of work.
During his time at the College, Litsepa developed a strong foundation in business management while building valuable skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and customer service. Although balancing his studies with personal and work responsibilities was challenging, he remained committed and successfully completed his qualification through perseverance, discipline, and effective time management.
As he built his career at Clicks, Litsepa applied the knowledge and skills he gained at False Bay TVET College in a real-world environment. His dedication and commitment to continuous learning enabled him to progress from Store Manager to his current role as a Category Assistant in the Baby Department at Clicks Head Office. Committed to his professional growth, he recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Business Management at Mancosa University through the Clicks Group Study Assistance Bursary and is looking forward to graduating in October 2026 with an NQF Level 7 qualification.
Reflecting on his journey, Litsepa credits False Bay TVET College with providing the strong foundation that helped shape his career. He encourages current students to embrace every learning opportunity, gain practical experience, and remain committed to their goals. Looking ahead, he hopes to advance into Category Management and eventually take on senior leadership roles, inspiring others to believe in themselves and never stop learning.
