Last week, on February 28, 2024, the Hospitality graduates of False Bay TVET College competed for a chance to embark on a 3-month placement in the Netherlands, courtesy of Norma Se Kinders NGO and Strandpark De Zeeuwse Kust.
The competition took place at our Muizenberg Campus Kitchens, where our talented graduates showcased their culinary skills by preparing a traditional botter koek (Butter Cake) and Sushi for judging.
The cook-off competition set the graduates up to compete against each other to prepare the best dish within a specific time frame. Participants were given a set of ingredients to work with, and they used their culinary skills and creativity to impress the judges with their final creations.
Selected graduates will have the privilege to travel to the Netherlands from May to August. We are delighted to announce that all visa, accommodation, and transport fees will be covered by the generous support of the owners of Strandpark De Zeeuwse Kust.
What a great opportunity for our graduates to gain invaluable international experience.
Congratulations to all participants, and we look forward to seeing our selected graduates thrive in this exciting journey abroad!
