Social Facilitation Queries

Dear Valued Stakeholder

We are pleased to inform you that our much-anticipated construction project of the False Bay College (FBC) Swartklip Campus is scheduled to commence in 2020. The project entails renovations and upgrades of the existing Swartklip Site in order to develop it into a flagship campus that offers various engineering programmes.

We acknowledge the need to create and develop sustainable communities that will address social and economic needs. It is with this notion in mind that False Bay TVET College has identified an opportunity to contribute to developing sustainable communities through the Swartklip Campus project. Whilst the primary objective of the project is to bring education closer to the doorsteps of our communities, the project has the potential of addressing unemployment, development of emerging SMMEs and provide training and transfer of skills.

In order to establish a framework that will effectively address the development of sustainable communities through the project, we will be appointing an independent Social Facilitator for the project.

The successful incumbent will be tasked to undertake the following,
•    Identify and engage with project stakeholders
•    Introduce project deliverable and objectives to stakeholders
•    Establish a Project Steering Committee that will act as a communication medium between the community and FBC
•    Assist FBC in achieving economic development targets

A Transparent and Open to All policy will be adopted on the Social Facilitation process, which provides Stakeholders a platform and opportunity to engage on matters pertaining to the construction of Swartklip Campus.

We trust you will find this Process of Social Facilitation to be informative and resourceful.

Kind Regards
False Bay TVET College Management
