False Bay College Celebrates Student Achievements

False Bay College held its Diploma and Awards Evening on the 31 May, at the Muizenberg Pavilion, to celebrate student successes and achievements. A total of 136 students received certificates and prizes in recognition of their hard work and personal successes.

The event recognised the achievements of the top student for each programme and those receiving diplomas.  Highlights of the evening included Germarè and Lee-Mari Ferreira, mother and daughter, receiving 1st and 2nd place for Office Administration Level 3.
Another heartfelt moment was the audience’s standing ovation when Cassie Kruger, False Bay College Chief Executive Officer, presented the CEO Award to Nina Samuels, a visually impaired student, who despite the challenges of her disability obtained 1st Place Office Administration Level 2, with her highest scoring mark being 94% for Maths Literacy.

Attendees included representatives of the Western Cape Education Department, University of the Western Cape, stakeholders from industry and other invited guests.

The success of the event was made possible by the incredible staff at African Kaleidoscope, the technical crew at AV Direct, Mountain Men Security, Beach Buddies and our Hospitality Department.
