Mentors to support CfE Beneficiaries

The Rapid Incubators and Centre for Entrepreneurship (RI & CfE) based at False Bay TVET College has introduced an innovative-driven entrepreneurship programme based on the GrowthWheel methodology.

The RI & CfE uses a holistic approach to develop resilient entrepreneurs, leading to strong businesses. The four key components of this incubation programme consist of learning, mentoring, market linkages and personal development workshops.

ECD students from False Bay TVET College make a difference

Nestled in the heart of Khayelitsha is the Khumbulani Health, Education and Resource Centre.
Khumbulani was initiated in 2000 by nine women from Khayelitsha, initially to take action against the consequences of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The Director, Gloria Bebeza, is currently completing her Diploma in Early Childhood Development at False Bay TVET College, Khayelitsha Campus.

In 2014, South Africa had the third highest unemployment rate in the world for people between the ages of 15 to 24, behind Spain and Greece. – World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Risk 2014 report.
The above report estimated that more than 50 percent of young South Africans between 15 and 24 were unemployed.  In the following year, according to the OECD, South Africa’s youth unemployment rate was the highest in the world.
