A joint crime prevention initiative between a learning institution, the community, the police and the private sector has dramatically reduced crime in a Cape Town suburb to provide a safe environment for education.



World Skills Provincial Challenge Team Announced

Cape Town, 08 December 2016. Western Cape finalists and winners of the provincial leg of the WSSA (WorldSkills South Africa) competition were announced at a ceremony held at the College of Cape Town, Crawford Campus. The finalists and winners are from the provincial Public TVET Colleges, Private College students, industry apprentices and employees to represent who entered the national competition.

Provincial Game Changers Strategy unpacked at Principals’ Breakfast

Cape Town, 05 August 2016. False Bay TVET College hosted a Principals’ Breakfast at their Central Office, Conference Centre in Muizenberg.

An annual occurrence, this event brings together principals, life-orientation teachers and district managers of schools in the Cape Town Metropole. With an estimated 80 guests in attendance, the event was geared towards strengthening college-school relationships and sharing valuable education and training information and trends.
