Mickyle Chitter: Departmental Administration Officer to the I&D Department

Mickyle Chitter has been appointed the Departmental Administration Officer to the I & D Department as from 1 September 2018.
Mickyle is a False Bay TVET College graduate and completed his National Diploma in Financial Management.

Starting his employment career as an intern in the College's Financial Department, he later earned his position as the Payroll Administrator in 2016.
A advocate for False Bay TVET College, Mickyle is still studying Bookkeeping with the College.

The Deputy Principal and I&D Departmental Managers are looking forward to the contribution that Mickyle will make in supporting the office and wish him the best with his new role and responsibilities.

Angelique Davids: PA to Principal's Office 

Mrs Angelique Davids has appointed as PA to the Principal’s Office of False Bay TVET College. Angelique is a home grown college graduate who completed her National Diploma in Public Relations at the then South Peninsula College.
Upon completion of her diploma, she moved to Johannesburg where she worked as PA to the CEO and Deputy CEO of Logtronics. Following this, she worked for more than five years as the PA for the Executive Mayor and City Manager of the Mahikeng Local Municipality respectively. On her return to Cape Town in March 2016, she took up an administration position at Fish Hoek Home Nursing Services.

Angelique joined the College in the position of Innovation and Development Departmental Administration Officer in 2017 before her current position of PA to the Principal’s Office.

Bomkazi M

Bomkazi Mxabo: Quality Assurance Officer

Bomkazi worked in the manufacturing industry for the past five as a Work In Progress Controller. Monitoring the processes in the production floor and non-conformances from external customers and suppliers.

Her current role at False Bay TVET College will be assisting in the monitoring, measurement and evaluation of performance of quality, investigating and following up on non-conformances.


 Dominique Meyer :Work Integrated Learning Manager

Dominique Meyer has been a Senior HR Manager with 16 years’ experience in multi-national corporations with a focus on Strategic, Learning & Development, Talent Change and Performance Management.

She is a key driver of transformation through Employment Equity and Skills Development strategies in her former career and consulted across multiple industries i.e. ICT, Media, Legal, Automotive, Wholesale, Retail, Manufacturing and Energy Management. She is passionate about working with graduates and been involve in end-to-end recruitment, placement processes.

She holds a Bachelors of Commerce Degree with majors in Human Resource and Business Management, a Diploma in Marketing Management, a qualification as a Skills Development Facilitator amid other Leadership, People, Change and Project Management Certificates.

An aspiring thought leader, Dominque is passionate about organisational growth and diversification.  She looks forward to contributing to the False Bay TVET College legacy.

Gershwan Maart

Gershwan Maart: SETA Administrator

With more than 4 years’ experience in local government’s education sector, Gershwan is passionate about Skills Development.

He is especially geared to working within youth development.  With previous TVET experience, Gershwan will make a seamless transition into the College. 
His primary focus is to maintain the SETA Administration for False Bay TVET College in the Occupational Skills Programme Department. This will include the loading of individual students on the system and monitoring their progress within the placement companies, until they eventually complete their qualification.


 Busiswa Luqhide  

Busiswa Luqhide: Marketing Exhibition Officer

It gives us great pleasure to welcome Busiswa Luqhide to the Marketing Team.


Busi comes from Higher Education Institutions, both private and public, with a good five years’ experience of marketing education programmes especially to schools.


Her primary role at False Bay TVET College will be to market the college and its programmes to school Learners, Life Orientation Teachers and Principals. She will participate in exhibitions and provide full support to the marketing department as needed.


We look forward to working with her and the value she can add to our marketing efforts, taking the FBC Brand to new heights.

 Carol Dwyer: E-Learning Manager

If Carol looks familiar to you, then you have probably attended an International North-South ICT Conference. She has been invited to speak on numerous occasions about E-Learning applications, blended learning trends and the pedagogy surrounding technology used in the classroom.Carol has been appointed the False Bay TVET College E-Learning Manager effective from 1 January 2018. 

She completed a B.A in Social Science and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, from the University of Cape Town.  She started her career in 1992 as a recruitment consultant. She moved into public relations and marketing and finally found her passion in 2009, when she joined False Bay TVET College as a lecturer.

Carol taught for four years and developed a favourable reputation for including technology in her classrooms. Due to a growth in and need for technology in traditional classrooms, she took up the position of E-learning developer in 2013. This allowed her to focus on creating innovative ways to blend lessons. Developing digital content and growing the False Bay TVET Colleges digital footprint, Carol was the ideal candidate to promote to the College E-Learning Manager.

When not changing the teaching delivery landscape you can find Carol puttering about in her organic vegetable garden or hitting the waves as an aspiring long board surfer.
