SRC Handover Event 2017

01 December 2017: As the year draws to a close, it’s a time of reflection and to taking stock of achievements and lessons learnt. Leaving their legacy, the outgoing False Bay TVET College Student Representative Council gathered to share their experiences and celebrate their accomplishments. 

SRC Handover SmallEach of the 5 Campuses SRC delegations met at the Central Office, Conference Centre to give their presentations.  Sharing of their personal development and experiences, they gifted the newly elected SRC with much to contemplate.

 

Cheryl Martin, Student Support and Development Services Officer for the Mitchells Plain Campus said: What an amazing year 2017 has been……and how privileged I am to have been given the opportunity to be the student support officer for this innovative, interesting and dedicated group of young people.

Much was celebrated, and special acknowledgements were bestowed upon SRC members for their involvement in community projects, leadership and peer education facilitation skills. A heartfelt moment for many in attendance as the CEO thanked all the SRC for their involvement in various committees such as the Bursary, Academic, College Council, Sports and Culture. The outgoing SRC members also utilized this opportunity to express their gratitude to the False Bay TVET College staff and management for the opportunities they were afforded.

Ms Mandisa Njozela, Student Support and Development Services Manager in her closing said “. I am very impressed with the level of presentations and the work done by the 2017 SRC to achieve their set goals.
