False Bay TVET College Athletes to compete at National Tournament

The netball and soccer athletes from False Bay TVET College won the 2017 Western Cape TVET College Provincial Tournament.

Competing against West Coast TVET College, College of Cape Town and Northlink TVET College sports teams, the tournament concluded at the Hottentots Holland High School in Somerset West. 

A win for the College, both the netball and soccer teams were acknowledged for their sterling performance.  A special awards ceremony was held to celebrate the victory and new sports kits and Certificates of Participation were issued.  Ms Karin Hendricks, Deputy Principal for Education and Training said “False Bay TVET College staff and students are proud of the athletes and wish them well for the National Tournament.”

Following this success, 10 False Bay TVET College Athletes will go forward to represent the Province at the National TVET Sports Tournament in both the soccer and netball teams.  The National Tournament is scheduled for 01-04 October 2017 and Hottentots Holland High School will once again play host venue. The Provincial teams will be competing against 9 other provincial teams, also comprising of students of the TVET college sector.
